Raw Roots Doula Services was born in 2024 with the goal of nurturing expectant families through life’s unpredictable seasons. We are committed to supporting you through every stage of growing your family, even before conception.
Our current offerings include fertility, labor, and postpartum doula support, lactation counseling, and childbirth education.

Hi, I’m Emily!
Certified Doula, CLC, Childbirth Educator
My interest in birth began at a young age, and has only continued to grow following the birth of my son in 2022.
I believe our bodies were beautifully designed to birth and nourish our babies, and my hope is that through education and support all parents find their inner strength and confidence not only in the birth space, but in their innate ability to care for their babies.
I know the importance of advocating for yourself in the birth space. Therefore, helping my clients find the confidence to speak up for themselves is one of my top goals throughout our time together. I am committed to providing judgement free support to all families, and believe that the parents I serve have the greatest ability to make the best choices for themselves and their babies.
When I’m not supporting families or expanding my knowledge in birth work, I enjoy spending time in the garden with my son, or relaxing with my shih tzu and cats. I also enjoy babywearing, collecting cloth diapers, crocheting, knitting, and baking sourdough bread. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a veterinary technician and volunteered as a foster parent for pregnant cats and orphaned neonatal kittens.
