Emily Drotleff, Certified Labor Doula, CLC

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a certified labor doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, and mom to one amazing little boy. My interest in birth began at a very young age, and has only continued to grow since giving birth to my own son in 2022. I know how transformative birth can be, and desire to assist families in creating the most positive and fulfilling birth experience possible.

I believe our bodies were beautifully designed to birth and nourish our babies, and my hope is that through education and support all parents find their inner strength and confidence not only in the birth space, but in their innate ability to care for their babies.

In order to further serve my community, I received my certification in lactation counseling. I have 2 years of breastfeeding experience with my own son, and I am excited to offer support to parents desiring to breastfeed, and those needing more targeted help and encouragement.

I believe in informed consent and the power of advocating for yourself. Therefore, helping my clients find the confidence to advocate for themselves is one of my top goals throughout our time together. I am committed to providing judgement free support to all families, and believe that parents have the greatest ability to make the best choices for themselves and their babies.

When I’m not supporting families or furthering my knowledge in birth work I enjoy spending time in the garden with my son, or relaxing with my shih tzu and cats. I also enjoy babywearing, collecting cloth diapers, crocheting, knitting, and baking sourdough bread. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a veterinary technician and also volunteered as a foster parent for pregnant cats and orphaned neonatal kittens.

I can’t wait to chat! Let’s get in touch!
